For those days when you can’t decide between chocolate and a scone…
To make these scones I used one bag of our gluten free scone mix. Following the recipe to make the dough I then rolled it out to make a rectangle about 12″/30cm by 6″/15cm.
For the filling, go ahead and choose your favourite chocolate hazelnut spread. I used about 3 large tablespoons which I melted in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds just to make it easier to spread over the dough.
Gently roll the dough along the long side until you reach the end with the seam side down. Carefully slice each scone about 1 1/2 inches thick. you should get about 8 scones.
You can either place each scone seperately onto a baking tray or place them snuggly in an 8″ cake tin so that they cook together and you can pull them apart once they are cooked.
Bake at 170 degrees C for about 20-25 minutes, the scones should lift easily of the tray.
Serve with a hot cuppa and enjoy!
